Description

Activated Alumina

pH :7–9 (in suspension)

Activated Alumina also known as aluminum oxide is designed for a range of general filtration and dewaxing when extracting plant resins.  This granular media is coarse and has high surface area.

Activated alumina in extraction is primarily used to remove water during the butane extraction process.  This particular Activated Alumina is pH Neural (7) making it an excellent choice for purification.  Without a pH bias you can filter across a broad spectrum of applications and expect consistent performance.

Activated alumina is an effective desiccant for drying gasses and liquids. Activated alumina also removes impurities like fluoride, arsenic, soaps and acids.

NSF 61 certified & Made in USA, Purity: 100%. Shelf life 5 Years.

Storage

  • Store containers/packaging in a dry, covered location protected from the ambient environment.
  • Remove from direct exposure to sunlight and rain.
  • Do not subject material to temperatures exceeding 450°F/230°C while in storage.
  • Once the material is loaded into the vessel, a thorough nitrogen purge is recommended to remove excessive free moisture.
  • Desiccant products intended for regenerative service will
require a complete thermal regeneration cycle (in TSA service) or several pressure
swing cycles (in PSA service) before full activity is restored.

Note: Container style and color may vary. Product is sold by weight which may result in container not being full.
